Attribute Export in TBC

  • 1.  Attribute Export in TBC

have an fxl set up for a simple Light Pole collection project.

Basic collection.  Feature Code: LP    Attributes:  (Listing of pole types Alum, Wood, Steel etc)

We added a comment field in the attributes for any free form comments the field person needed to add.

After importing the data, processing the feature codes and exporting to csv file all the attributes and the comments are combined into one field.  How can we separate the comments from the attributes in a csv export?

    Hey Ross,

You should be able to do this through the Export Format Editor:

You can create a new definition or modify an existing one. You'll have to add an Attributes field and then there are multiple options to get the attributes the way you'd like them to display:

    Hope that helps.

Shown above are screenshots of the points in TBC with the Feature attributes.  My specific problem is getting this to export into a csv and have the "Comments" be in it's own cell upon export.  TBC lumps the "Type" and "Comments" into one cell on export.  I want to seperate them upon export.

    Hope this helps

If you set the text qualifier to none you will get all the attributes in separate columns when you export to the CSV.
