What is the easiest way to plot plan view of a corridor?

I'm currently learning the drafting and plotting workflow but have a question about corridors. If I have a corridor and I want to plot the plan view. The corridor curves so I need each plot box to be at a slightly different rotation. Is there any way to do this in the dynaview commands? Ideally I'd like to be able to build sheets and build all of the plan views of the corridor. Or is the only way to do this with a separate dynaview for each different rotation of the corridor? It appears if I create a dynaview collection and then adjust the rotation of those dynaview boxes, it will still want to plot at the original dynaview rotation. Is there any easy way to do this?

Use the Plan and Profile Sheet approach - this does exactly what you are asking. If you do not want the Plan or the profile element those can be disabled - then depending on your sheet size you can have two or more plan Elements (two halves of the sheet (top and bottom) . This process cuts the plans (based on the scale and the defined box sizes on the defined sheet size) at appropriate stations and then rotates the dynaviews automatically so that the start and end point of the alignment in each box is at the defined location of the vertical sides of the boxes - this auto-rotates the sheets to best fit the corridor and it does it dynamically.

If you use the Metric or Feet Sheet Sets that we ship with the product - that are called the following - they are set up to do this so you can see how it works - you still have to control the Left and Right widths etc and that is just learning how the settings work - my videos do go over that.

    Metric Sheets - Named e.g. A0 Planset (Landscape) (ENG).vcl (A0, A1, A2, A3, A4)

US Feet Sheets - Named ANSI Sheet Template (All Sizes and Types).VCL (ANSI A, B, C, D, E)

Let me know if you need more assistance

    Alan,

Thank you for the direction. I'm working on all of this now. I noticed an easy way to disable the plan drawing, but I don't see an option to disable the profile. The end result I'm looking for is just plan view, no profile view attached.

EDIT: I did a bunch of altering the profile options and was able to eliminate the profile and just show the plan view. It took some work but was doable. Not sure if there is an easier way. If not, maybe that could get built into a future version of Business Center.

    Thanks,

The enclosed project shows how to set this up - you are right that there is no Plan only option apparent in the Settings - however if you basically zero out or Disable the Profile elements they dont plot an you get Plan only or Plan / Plan output as a result depending on the dimensions you choose to work with for the Plan Boxes.

I do see that in the Sheet Edit function - it still shows a red Line for my Profile Line - however when I Build Sheets it does show up but if you place it on a layer that can be turned off in the View Filter you can No Plot it so that works (a defect I think here but not a show stopper - I will log it in

    Hope it helps
