Active View Filter

When we have projects that are levees, there are always multiple surfaces and different linework in the same location, on the same alignment.  So instead of making a separate business center file for each I use multiple view filters for each design.  For example, we might have an over excavation surface, then a correction surface, and then a footing surface.  Also there might be subgrade/finish grade surfaces for the entire site that also have view filters made.

My issue is that when I bring in my linework and surface for a new Design, all of that new linework shows up in those other view filters and it is really annoying to have to go back into all the other ones and turnoff linework and surfaces that I do not want to see in those view filters.

Is there a way so that only the “active view filter” checks the imported layers/surfaces when brought into a business center project.  That way I don’t have to go back into the other view filters and uncheck everything that I don’t want to see.

Go into Advanced View Filter Settings (Right icon at top of View Filter Manager) for each of your defined View Filters. At the top of the presented dialog there are two check boxes - one that Locks the View Filter and the other that allows you to add newly imported or created layers and surfaces to the view filter or not - first unlock the View Filter - uncheck the other check box (typically leave it unchecked so that newly imported or created data does not get added to your view filter) and then lock the View Filter so that it doesn't get changed inadvertently by you during use. Always leave My Filter as your flexible Filter but I lock all of my custom filters and have the setting set to off by default - that will address

    your issue I believe

I am having the same issue.  I am using one of the model projects from training class to create a template.  When I import a topo and do a Process Feature Codes.  I am only able to view my linestring in "ALL" filter.  Beside creating a Copy of "ALL" filter, what can I do to view those linestrings in "My Filter"
