    Can the Point select pick box be active directly - ie without having to select it - currently I have to activate it by selecting with the mouse..

    The keyboard focus goes to the layer control so that you pick the layer first. You can then tab to the next field.

    You can also click on an object in the desired layer to set the layer and it will advance to the point.

    I will log an enhancement request to add an autoadvance option.
