Stake out Flags

Is there any way to hide the display of Stakeout Flags?

I've got Staked Out points I want to include in a plot but the Flags are not wanted,

    TBC Stakeout Flags

I think the only way is to Convert the points - I've tried changing the Stakeout Tolerances but this doesn't seem to help.

Should be under advanced view filter settings on your view filter. I believe it is under the Raw Data tab and you can toggle between visible and selectable.

    Hi Nick,

Thanks but unfortunately that only toggles the display of the Point itself - I want the point but NOT the flag - it would be nice to have under the Flags Toggle

    John

    You can do the following

    1) In Project Explorer find the As Staked Point list. Expand the list and select all of the As Staked Points (or those that you want to place on your drawing as Points.

    2) In Command Pane - type Convert and find Convert As Staked Points - this will create a Survey Point at each of the Ass Staked Point Locations

    3) Now go to View Filters / Advanced View Filter Settings and turn off As Staked Points, this will turn off the As Staked Points and their flags, leaving the Point duplicates visible for the drawing creation

    Hope this helps

Also if you add symbols to points according to development team the symbol replaces the flags on the plot sheets - i have not tried this yet personally

Yes, we draw a flag for the stakeout point but it's not really a "flag", it's the symbol for the point. That's why when you turn off flags, the stakeout symbol (which looks like a flag) is still displayed.

The easiest solution is to just label the points with a label style that includes the "Symbol" type. In fact, the label style only needs that one type (the symbol) included in the label style. When the label style has a symbol defined, it replaces the default symbol for the point (the flag in the case of stakeout points).

This should be easier than copying the points.

    Hi Gary,

Yes thanks - I'd gone down that track too!
