Point Selection by Inside CAD Linestring

Is there a way to select points inside a CAD Linestring (like the Terramodel command "Inside") ?

I have multiple Sections of a Twin Tunnel that I want to Assign Chainage Values to Points but they vary slightly in/out of Chainage ranges and I have to remove lots extraneous points manually if I increase the range

would polygon select not be what you are after?

I was trying to avoid that – I’ve already got linestring boxes around points so would be easier just to use them

    Hi John,

if you have BC 5 with macro support (survey advanced edition) you can use the macro "pointcloud by boundary".

You have to be in polygon select mode and then click on the appropriate (closed) line string. It selects everything within, lines, arcs and so on. Not just point cloud points.

    Cheers

I just stepped into the same boat.  I need to select line thou not points inside a closed line.   I had to explode a surface so I can do some elevation changes.

    Select by polygon work great.
