When creating a new layer in the layer manager have a selection box to designate which "Category" it needs to be placed in and possibly ability to assign site improvement to it.  This feature will assist in our use of TBC for estimating and sometimes having to create new items that are not included in our current template/library.

Ability to create a new and Categorize in the same operation

Hi Travis,

We currently have 'Layer Groups' which you can use to group together layers. Also, I know some users add suffixes to layer names to help sorting (e.g. adding 'FG -' before the layer name for Finished Ground). Does your workflow require another method of categorizing layers?
