GNSS Precise Orbit

Does anyone know why TBC hasnt yet introduced the precise orbit (sp3) info for QZSS and Beidou?

The G, R and E orbits are covered for rapid and final orbits but china's satellite system is fully operational and not compatible.

Anyone know if this is being planned for a future release?

Currently the IGS only generates precise GPS and GLONASS orbits, but they have run some pilot projects to generate GALILEO, BeiDou and QZSS orbits / clocks as well. It is unclear when the IGS will officially start producing precise orbits and clock products for all constellations.

    Trimble is looking at alternatives.

Now my follow up question is why limit orbits, clocks and erp to IGS when there are several analysis centres.

If you have the URLs for centers where you know there are precise orbits for Beidou and QZSS, could you share them?

    Richard

Ive encountered a limitation with importing SP3 files.

    Namely sp3-c and sp3-d files.

From my testing TBC (v5.2) is unable to properly parse sp3-d files to extract the correct number of satellites and the correct constellations.

Would you know if Trimble is working on a fix?

    Hi Aaron,

TBC has supported the new IGS product MGEX probably from version 5.3x, and that product includes all current GNSS constellations, including Beidou and QZSS.
