How to cut design at level?

    Hi,

I have surface that i need to cut to certain level.

It is a trench that top level needs to end at 1.5 m. Now the top of the surface varies.

I tried it with merge surfaces, but the endpoint of the surface goes to original endpoint and I need to cut it where the surfaces intersect.

Here is a screenshot where you can see where I want the surface to be cut.

Rectangular surface is at 1.5 m

If your bottom toe lines are elevated you could use the Surface Tie command and daylight them to the level surface at whatever your side slope value is and replace your current tops in the original surface with the new tie lines which will all be at 1.5m.

See if this does what you want:

Create a contour at elevation 1.5

    Explode the contour

Add the contour as a member of the surface

Erase the lines above the contour

If this is not what you want, please add some more explanation and attach your data.

Depending on how you calculated the original daylight line, you might be able to just intersect a surface with the desired elevation.
