This layer is not visible in any graphic view?

  • 1.  This layer is not visible in any graphic view?

When doing things like offsetting linework or creating contours, if I'm in "my filter" instead of "all" in the "view filter manager"I can't view the offsets or contours I'm creating, and in the layer selection menu of the "offset line" window, there's a little yellow dot that says "this layer not visible in any graphic view"

The "all" filter in the "view filter manager" is locked, and the things I create only show up in that filter.  Did I check or uncheck a box somewhere I shouldn't have?

here are screenshots of my filter vs the all filter and the little yellow dot with note.

    Thanks

In My Filter you must have the layer selected in the command (3' Offsets) turned off.  That is why you get the yellow dot warning you.  In the view filter manager just turn that layer back on for My filter.  Remember that each view can have a different view filter and show different things.

There is a setting in the advanced view filter settings that determines if newly created view filters will be on or off when first created.(Include newly created ...)

The all filter will always show all layers.

I am having the sam issue.  I create my layers before importing field topo so I can do Process Feature Codes.  i process the codes and my points will move to desgned layer in MY FILTER from the FXL but the linework will only show up in ALL filter.   I am unable to delete my layers as it says layer is used.

After thinking about the hiccup with the points being visable and going into Advance Setting and making Raw Data Point layer visable.  That would allow My Filter to have points visable.  So i turned on CAD layer to visable.   Why would I have to have those layers visable?
