We could write it for sure - it is some work and I would like to sound you guys out as a potential Crowd Source Fund Group - if others want this, if you want to share in the cost, we would give you a 3 Year License for 1 user if we built it based on a Unit Funding approach - If you fund multiple Units of cost we would give you multiple seats for 3 Years if we build it. After 3 Years we would return to a subscription model because we have to maintain and support the code base and that does cost money to do that.
Unit Funding Approach would be if say the Dev Effort was $10,000 and 20 Companies wanted it then you all pay $500 each and we get it done for you and make it a priority. If only 15 companies say they want it the Unit Price goes up, unless a company wants 5 Seats on the back end and will pay for multiple units at a discounted rate to reduce the cost for everyone involved
I have had a few people ask for this and Crowd Source Funding can allow me to prioritize the work and give you the result product in return for your funding to do it. We would own the rights to the tool and be able to sell it commercially, but you get a say in how it works and what it does and help us to develop it and get "first mover advantage". With Funding we can do anything you guys want and hire more developers if the need is there to support them.
