Point Clouds 3D transformation

Does anyone have experience with 3D transformation of point clouds between two different local coordinate systems? I can't find this function in TBC 5.10, but I don't have much experience with point clouds options, and I didn't find anything helpful in the help tab.

I believe you have at least two options:

    1) Register Scans

    2) Geo-Reference Scans

Option 1) would transform all overlapping scans to one local coordinate system of the reference scan

Option 2) would independently geo-reference each individual scan into you global or local coordinate system providing you know coordinates of at least two points captured by each scan

In TBC to to Support -> Help -> Type "register scans". Possible workflows are described in detail.

I use the Geo-Reference Scans. I will have the my screens split vertically. The global points on one screen and the local points and the point cloud on the other. I will then run the Geo-Reference Scans command.

    Hope this helps!
