How can you change the point quality of multiple points in a TBC project without going one by one and changing each individually? Is there a way to do this with a whole group of points?

Say you have points 200-300 stored in a TBC job, grid, set to control quality. You want to change these to Survey or Unknown without going through the project explorer one by one. Is there a way to do this as a batch process? One can always export, delete them, then re-import to correct quality, but that is a bit of an absurd way to do something that should be simple.

I have the same question.  If you change individually, they become Office Entered vs associated with CSV.

    Hey Owen and Tim,

You are able to do a batch edit, however you would still have to select each grid coordinate that you want to change. You can do this by holding "Ctrl" and selecting each coordinate. Once they are all selected, click the quality symbol of the N, E, Elev, twice (first click will just show control, second click will bring all qualities up). Change to the desired quality and re-compute the project  (see attached video).

Once you've change the quality of the point, it will automatically show as an office entered coordinate as the point has been edited from its original import.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I can look into an enhancement request so that you don't have to use the dropdown on each point and select the actual coordinate. The enhancement could be just selecting the point and being able to do the same thing.

I would like to comment that though I was able to do it as you showed it is still very cumbersome and for my purposes was very annoying. I think this should be able to happen in the Point Spreadsheet, but I don't see any option to have it show there. And I can select the points in the point spreadsheet but than can not batch edit the quality in their properties, it does not make sense why this is only possible when expanding the points from the manager.

To continue along these thoughts I wish that all fields were editable everywhere. Maybe have a prompt saying that you are changing things are you sure you want to proceed but otherwise what is the point of having this software, so I can just look at what is wrong and not fix it????

My only thought which maybe a work around for now.  Export those points as a CSV and reimport with either a prefix or suffix added to the point ID

There are many user interface/editability update that TBC is long overdue for.  Where some data isn't shown where you think it should be, or can only be edited from viewing it in one place.  It would be nice if they could pause working on big new functions for a year so they could majorly update the many small user interface items people have been complaining about in the forums for a while now.
