Fred
Andy's issue is being looked at but his is a pure plotting issue that generates a Green Box in the PDF output. The team have looked at that and have now recreated the problem and it appears that it is an issue with printing large images to PDF - his file showed the issue and the dev team can work on it as a result. There is an update due out shortly for some other things that are going on so this will be an update that goes in that release hopefully.
Your issue however while it may be related, will need the same review - it is hard to look for specifically what you are saying is wrong without a concrete reference that we know is failing. Your Issues appear to relate to Sheet View and not output of the data like Andy's stated issue - and they seem to be the following
1) When you zoom extents in Sheet View it zooms to a large extent and you do not feel that there is any data out that far that would cause it to zoom out that far - Note that an Image that is cropped by a Dynaview still has the full extents in the Sheet view - it is just hidden so zooming extents may be picking up the extents of the image somehow - is that what you were seeing do you think?
2) Dynaviews don't show - I assume you mean that you have plan view data set up with a View Filter and then you have created a Dynaview frame around an area of the project and assigned the same View Filter to the Dynaview that you created in the Sheet View and the Dynaview is not showing up - i.e. it is totally blank - and you are 100% sure that the layer of the Dynaview and the Dynaview Frame and all the View Filter Layers are set up correctly in the Sheet view - but still the Dynaviews content is not showing?
Let me know so I know better where to look. If you have an example project that exhibits the issue I can for sure dig in and find / replicate the issues
I have started to look at the issues that I think you are raising and I have noticed that if you have a surface a long way from the Dynaview Area of the project, that in the Sheet View - Zoom Extents appears to be picking up on the surface limits of the project if they are part of the View Filter applied to the Dynaview - that does not look correct - and it also seems that the Sheet View is picking up on the full size of the surface models that are active in the Dynaview - I think that this is a new issue and have logged that one in.
The second one I am not sure how to test it as you all set up your Sheet Layouts differently and that may influence what you are seeing - I need a project where in the saved form if I open it in 5.30 it works as you want it but if I open it in 5.31 it is failing so I can look at why that might be. There have been some changes in View FIlters that accommodate the View Filter Override stuff that allows you to set objects to have different colors, lineweights and linestyles in one View Filter compared to another View Filter - the Dev Team doesnt believe that that could cause what you are seeing however I need to check that to see if it has created any issues.
If someone has a simple example they can share I would like to get one to look at.
