Hi there.

When i push the button "categorize layers" its the same as when i pusch "File" in the menu. It takes a long time to load the function, i have to wait a LONG time. And when the function is open it takes the same time for every thing i change in this function. Does anybody know why? Is there a way to speed this up? I hope so because this is not a nice way to do it.

The time it takes to load Categorize Layers is dependent primarily on how many layers you have in your Project - If you have hundreds of Layers this is going to take longer than if you have tens of layers etc.

Ok, so its just the amount of layers that is the problem. I will start deleting now.

I think that is the issue - I have seen that when I start with a very Large

CAD File of lots of Layers

Could it be the same with the "file" button? 

I would not have thought so - I havent seen that one personally - That is

more likely to be the number of Projects that are in that location that

File Save As or Save is going to and how many Recent Projects you show on

the list and how many Recent Places you have visited (browsing for

Projects) as in the time lag you are seeing, the system is compiling the

contents of the Recent projects and Recent Places information
