Hello everyone 

Does anyone here know if there’s a smart text for the description 1 and 2 in the point properties? Or the description fields for utilities?

If not I would suggest that as an #enhancementrequest

I agree. That would be useful.

You can create a Point Label Style using those fields and Label Points that way, you can also add that Label Style to a Point Object in a Feature Code Library and Process them that way - I have asked for a response to the question and requested that if not supported that they should be available and enabled - will try and get that done for next release if not already available - will see what I get back (my main man Gary is on PTO the next two weeks so we will see what I get in his absence

I have checked and it is currently not enabled - so you have to use Label Styles currently. I have put in a request to have this enabled - will see if it get's done for the next release - let's hope so.

I have tried to set up a label style for this purpose but it seems that TBC doesn’t have the option to use the description field. You can use point number/id, coordinates and attributes among the options but not description 1 or 2 from the point properties.

If I’m wrong on this please let me know how to set this label style up.

Let me check - maybe I saw it in the next release - I will go back and look in 5.1.1

I just checked and this is in 5.1

If you create a point label style - the fields Description 1 and 2 are at the bottom of the list of label types in the pull down

Great thanks @Alan Sharp but come to mind was to create a label style for line attributes. I have a fxl file to use in the field with different attribute fields for both points and lines. Points attributes comes across from Trimble Access to TBC just fine but I can not seem to do the same with lines, got any tricks up your sleeves to get this done?
