Create From CAD on Blocks

Why is it we can't use the Create from CAD tool on Block elements within a file?

The process seems to be currently we need to identify if an element is a block first (generly by the fact the Create from CAD tool doesn't work), then explode the block which then allows the Create from CAD tool to function.

This is an annoying step, particularly when dealing with imported design files from external sources where users don't have control over the forms of data making up a file (aside from the fact it seems like blocks are regularly used for elements that would want to have CAD points created from it).

There is a workaround to identify the blocks through the Advanced select and selecting CAD BlockReference as the selection set, then exploding the resulting selection. This just seems to be an additional step, which could be a bit neater.

It would be nice if the project cleanup had an explode blocks option.

    Hey Ross,

I've recorded this enhancement on our list. It does seem like having to explode the block is an unnecessary step; I'll try to ask around to see it was designed this way specifically.

    Thanks Josh,

I know its picky, it just seems to be an extra step really that we could possibly bypass.
