Structured exports for point cloud formats in TBC

Can we get Structured/Gridded file formats for point cloud formats out of TBC the same as we can get out of TRW? There is a high demand for structured/Gridded data for exports such as E57 and RCP, and currently we can't get this out of TBC and the data needs to be shifted to TRW to just do the export resulting in a VERY expensive file converter for some users.

I can export those but maybe this is not what you are looking for?

I had asked about this same issue last year. As it stands currently the e57 and rcp exporters export all point data as a unified point cloud and not as individual scan stations, station locations and images are not included. A structured export would allow the user to toggle individual scans and station images within Recap.

@Ross McAtamney I have yet to find a workaround that doesn't involve TRW. If I need structured deliverables I'll use a Riegl scanner and process through RiScan.

    Ok, thanks for your answer.

As @Steve Sharron mentioned below, the structured export is slightly different where the station information is captured on export so packages can turn on and off individual scans etc. At the moment we only export a blob of data which isn't really desired. At the moment we need another package to do the export like TRW to capture this information which doesn't really help and the industry is quickly shifting to needing structured/gridded exports.

I am assured that this will be fixed moving forward and it is being looked into...

Thanks for your suggestion here though! Glad someone is keeping me honest.
