PDF Image Boundaries are deleted with the image

Is it possible to break the bond between a imported PDF Image (plan sheet) and the rectangle used to trim the image?

When I delete a pdf image to replace it with another, usually due to updated plans, the linework used to trim the image is deleted along with the image. This usually means drawing the same boundaries over again to trim the new sheets. (re-doing work makes us sad).  This seems to be a new behavior as I don't believe the boundary was always deleted with the image.

    Thanks.

Rich, before you delete the PDF that you don't want, use the Add/Remove image boundary command - select the boundary, click remove. Clipping line will remain after you delete the PDF

Takes a bit more than a second when you have a list of referenced images like this and you get a new plan set.

The way I handle that problem is to put all of the image boundaries on the same layer, then you can easily Isolate that layer and copy all prior to deleting sheets.  This will ensure your copied boundaries will remain after deleting the ones you need to update

Yesss @Padric thanks. That's what I am now doing as well. Much faster/less clicks (always makes us happy). I just had to swap out 26 sheets and that method saved a bunch of time.  BTW, I would do a select by layer either prior or in the copy command (opposed to isolating) which also saves clicks.

If possible I use the Georeference Vector PDF.  Lets you do two steps in one.  Add clipping area and Georeference Points in one fast-quick-easy step.   One thing is that it will automatically add the image layers. This has me thinking that I will do a new project just for PDF sheets and extract any linework I need so the project I use to work in is not over crowded with layers and lines.
