Export SVD/SVL with TBC 5.30

  • 1.  Export SVD/SVL with TBC 5.30

    Posted 05-06-2020 01:56

I want to export my project as SVD/SVL files for machine control. With TBC 5.20 it worked well. Now I had to edit some little things with TBC 5.30 and the export is not working any more. I get this error:

"The high and right values in design are not valid for the coordinate system." (Thanks, Google)

    What is the problem here?

Workaround: I used the export for Earthworks and unzipped the DSZ-file.

    Attachment(s)

    zip
    TVN_Z3_BESSEL.dc.zip   376 B 1 version
    zip
    TVN_Z4_Bessel.dc.zip   377 B 1 version

    Hi Titus,

I asked the Development team to look into this issue. Please send me your project file if you want us to look at it. I am assuming your coordinate system did not change.

You appear to have design data in a location that is not being mapped from the global lat/long coordinates to the local grid coordinates. There were minor coordinate system updates, but those are not likely to cause this problem. Have you added new design data? Feel free to send me your file for debugging. Thanks.

Hi David, ich checked my data again, I can't find any data far away from my project area. I only erased two PDF-files an repaced them with two new ones, then edited corridors other drawing data. That was all. You will now find my VCE-file attached to my question.

    Titus,

I will test your file and pass it along to the development team to debug as well. I will let you know what we find.

    Titus,

I opened your project, selected all the objects, and used the Machine Avoidance Zone exporter, Machine Job Site Design exporter, and Machine Site Map exporter to export these files:

I did not receive any errors, but I will follow up with the dev team tomorrow anyway. Perhaps another user can test also?

    Hello David,
I tried ist again with the project I sended to you but only selecting just one line, I got the error again. Then I testet some other projects, some are working, others gave me the same error-message. May be the problem is with our DC-file we are using. Because projects with other coordinate-systems (i.e. local calibration) are working. I attached two DC files.
Another user had the same problem.

I had this issue as well, my data was all in State Plane coordinates and the export to ttm and dxf worked fine, but the svd/svl would not export out of business center. I was able to export machine control files out of my data collector and I later imported the cfg from my data collector into business center which fixed the issue. The project was in State Plane Coordinates (no local calibration) in both my data collector and Business Center so i assumed it was a bug.

    Titus (and Matthew),

I imported each DC file you attached into your project and ran the three machine data exporters. The TVN_Z4...dc located points away from the rest of the data. None of the exporters threw an error except for the Machine Site Map exporter for the DC mentioned above ("Reduce the extents and try again."). I am awaiting results from two other testers, but I suggest you submit a bug/support ticket to your SITECH dealer in the meantime.

    David,

I tried a few other things:

    1. I reimported older SVL, SVD and CFG files from the mentioned project into a new empty TBC. Thanks Mattew for this idea. Exporting Machine Job Site Design failed again. But the Machine Site Map exporter worked.
    2. Now I tested the Machine Site Map exporter with my running project. Worked fine as well!

Doing this I noticed, the Map exporter (I never used it before) doesn't create CAL and CFG files but the Job Site exporter does. I think is another indication for a problem with my DC file.

    Hi Titus,

I tried the same as David and got similar results. Just thinking on the TBC v5.30 update you did, on the installation process I think there should be a tick box to indicate you still want to use GSC900 file formats?

Try running v5.30 install and have a look out for that to see if that is enabled.

Hope you find a solution and best of luck!

    Hi Kevin,
the tick box was marked when I installed TBC, because we are often using GCS. I also tried to change the GCS version from 12.8 to 13.0 while exporting, but this did not solve the thing. And with other DC files for other Plane Coordinate Systems the GCS exports are working fine too. The problem only appears with the DC files designed for the German Gauss-Krüger-System.

    Hello,

after installing TBC 5.31, the GCS-Export (SVL/SVD) works again, when I use a surface as model type. But when I use 3D-lines, the error is still there.
