  • 1.  TBC 5.00 error code when trying to colorize a scan

I am using TBC 5.00.  When i bring in my scan data from a SX10 the data imports ok but i get the following error code when I try to colorize.  I just got a new desktop computer and its Windows 10.  Any ideas how I can fix this?

I finally figured out what was happening.  It had to do with my DirectX driver.  If you run the update on this link you should be ok.

Thank you, maybe Trimble support must read this to , they are still searching for the answer.

I'm having this issue as well. The link provided says I have a current or newer version of DirectX and won't install 9. I'm currently running DirectX 12. It will currently crash and close TBC when I try to import a job with associated scan data.

Andrew,  try opening TBC and go to the Support tab then open the options.  On the Display tab click the Advanced button and try clicking on the Override automatic detection option then select "Direct X 9" from the dropdown. How much RAM does your computer have that you are using.  I have 64Gb in mine.  If this doesn't work and TBC keeps crashing I would follow the same steps as above except go to the "Point Clouds" tab and in the "Rendering memory cache size" box increase your RAM size to half of your systems total RAM.  This might help.  The more RAM you allow TBC to use the faster the point clouds will load and the better the rendering will be.
