Command Registration Error.

  • 1.  Command Registration Error.

I have a surface pro that I use only for travel and I hardly use it for TBC. Now, I am finally using it working at home because of the virus.

Opening my TBC takes a very long time (10-15minutes) then it shows this "Command Registration Error" (below) and it will take another couple minutes to open it after clicking okay.

This is what I did when it finally open.

    1. Click TML Status and updates and installed macros
    2. Restart my computer

So far it does not solve the issue. I am able to work it once it opens but it's a pain to wait if I try opening multiple TBC.

Please help if anyone encounter this issue in the past or knows how to fix it.

    Thank you

I would try deleting the Macros out of the Macros Folder \Programdata\Trimble\macrocommands\trimble and reinstalling them all with TML Status from Rockpile Solutions - this will likely fix the problem. The issue sounds like you have an older version of Offset Surface installed that is conflicting with one that was installed with the software

I will pass to Trimble Development and have them review

    Thank you Alan,

I deleted those macros and reinstall but it's still giving me the same error.

Opening a blank TBC takes 10-15 minutes and if I open some of our current jobs in my local drive takes a lot longer.

The weird part is when I drove back to the office this morning and hard-wires an ethernet cable to our network and no problems opening any of my TBC, no errors and took less than a minute to open.

Once you have TBC opened, check the "Project Management" and "File Locations" paths in the Options command. You may have some network drive locations set.

Also check your PATH setting. To check, enter "View advanced system settings" in the search bar (usually bottom left on screen). That should bring up the "System Properties" dialog. Near bottom right is a button "Environment Variables". This is where you can see and edit your PATH settings. Just select the line that contains "Path" then click on "Edit...".

If some of the folders contained in the list are network drives, that could slow you down some (but not as much as folder paths in the options command above)

Thank you Gary, I think it has something to do with the new security that they added to all our computer system. If I run it with as a local admin administrator then it opens within a minute but I am not able to access the network.

I guess I have to just wait 10-15 minutes every time I open the TBC.

    Thanks again Gary
