Is there a way to lock or save the surface after doing a swap triangle work so it won't go back to the original after rebuilding the surface?

I never use this function for this exact reason - I just draw a surface breakline to do this - If you don't want to see the breakline draw it on a layer that you turn off - it saves the result and is just as easy to implement

Thanks, Alan, that's what I was doing if I knew I am going to keep saving it over and over but sometimes that breakline connects more triangles to the nearest lines around it and made it worst. I can't remember the model I did. I should have sent it to you back then for you to check.

Eric - if you override the segment length of the breakline and set it at more then the actual length of the line, the triangles will only connect to the endpoints or any horiz nodes or VPI that may be along said line. It basically overrides whatever is set in the Project Settings>Computations>Surface>Breakline Approximation Parameters>maximum sampling distance. Note: The property does not change anything regarding the physical length of the line. 

Richard is correct here Eric - if your Breakline is say 40' long and you have your Project Settings - Breakline Approximation parameters set to say 10' then the breakline you drew is subdivided into 10' sections and those nodes that are created are added to the TIN Model, so as Richard points out, change the property on the Breakline so that it doesn't subdivide that line and leaves it as just the two nodes (endpoints of the line) in the surface TIN
