In TBC there are two UI tools used. Commands like Vertical Design and also the Start Page are using the new UI tools, whereas as the older commands use an older UI technology. The new UI in some installs has had some issues with Buttons disappearing and that is caused by a Graphics Card issue of some kind interfering with the UI Tools in use. the symptoms are that when you move the mouse over the buttons / dialog areas, the buttons disappear in part or fully. In all cases that we have resolved the issues, it has been traced to a Graphics Driver or related Graphics issue and not to TBC itself, however in some cases it has taken days / weeks to resolve on specific computers.
The menu ribbons should not be affected by this issue as they use the older UI technology. If you are seeing the Toolbars or menu ribbons disappearing that is a different issue I guess - someone showed me a custom toolbar that was always Off at start up yesterday but I think we fixed that. Some of these types of issues can be caused if you run multiple instances of TBC at the same time and you change the Menu / Toolbar configs in one of the instances - because the second instance holds onto the old settings and the new instance creates a change, I believe that sometimes, changes you make can end up with adverse effects. When you close TBC using the X in top right or if TBC closes unexpectedly / suddenly, things can get messed up. There are a couple of files that you can delete in the Templates folder (.layoutd and .layout) files that can clean and restore the system which get reset to defaults after a restart if you are having continued issues - that should clear up the issue.

@Alan Sharp -
Is this regarding the tabs across the top? I had this issue a couple weeks ago where all my tabs disappeared and reappeared when I restarted the program. Haven't had it happened since.

Subject: Buttons Disappearing Issue
Today we had a breakthrough with one user that has been having issues with his Buttons and dialog elements disappearing. We found that the issue was a clash between the current setup of his Graphics Drivers and TBCs use of WPF Graphics. In TBC the dialogs have been created in the early days using Windows Forms and more recently dialogs are created using WPF technology. We found that the issue was only affecting those parts of TBC that are using the WPF functionality like the Create Vertical Design command and all of the TML commands and the Start Page of TBC etc.
The resolution was to de-install the Graphics Drivers 100% and then reinstate them from scratch. This has cleared the customer issue and he is now working 100% correctly.
To do the deinstallation of the Graphics Drivers (he had to deinstall both the Intel and Nvidia Drivers from his Dell Machine and reinstate both) he used a tool available from this link - I have not used it personally and cannot say that it will work for all machines in all situations with this problem, but it has solved one persons issue so please try this if you are experiencing similar issues.

Thanks to Andy from Riverside Construction for his help and assistance here and his patience in getting this solved. He tested both 5.32 and the upcomingv5.4 and both worked fine.
Awesome - One headache over!
