When cleaning up Cad data imported if we had a command similar to the lyr command in Terramodel it would make cleaning up a file a lot faster, lyr command was set to toggle visibility of a layer off when you clicked on it.

    Ben

Here is the Terramodel Command Interface

What is it that this does better than the View Filter Manager other than working one Layer at a time

    VFM provides

    1) Layer based or Layer Group or All Layer or All Layer Group Visibility Controls (Auto All and Visible)

    2) Isolate Layer - click on Layer and Isolate or Click on an Object on a Layer and Isolate

VFM does not show how many objects that are on a Layer but that is the only thing that I can see that this does that VFM doesnt do.  I can see that you can type a Letter to move to a layer in the layer List and then change its properties if you know the names of all your layers - is that what you are trying to do?

We are just wrapping up a TML to manage Layers and Layer Groups that we may be able to add this capability to for example.

The way my setup was I could click on a object and that layer would turn off then I could click the next layer and that would turn off it is a lot faster for clean up, one click to turn off a layer in plan view

In TBC you select an object of each layer that you want to turn off and then click the Hide Layer Button - does the same thing and you can multiselect - OK if you have to do one at a time then it is two clicks per object not one

With Surfaces we have a Right Click and Toggle Visibility - I will see if I can get that added to other types of Object as it is not on Polylines or Linestrings

There could be a number of things you want to do with Layers - I am just wrapping up a TML that allows you to assign Layers to Layer Groups and to Add Prefix or Suffix to Layer Names and I guess we could change Layer Properties like Layer Color, Linestyle, Lineweight,Visibility etc in that command also maybe? That way you have one place to go to change properties or Layer Functions etc.
