Objects that are CAD polyline will still display in the 3D View even though their elevation is undefined and "do not display in 3D" is marked in the display options.  Once you select the lines and edit them, which changes them to a linstring, they disappear in the 3D View.  Is there a way to not have undefined CAD polylines not display in 3D View without have to edit each individual object to convert them to a linestring?

CAD Polylines typically have Elevation of 0 (that is how AutoCAD defines "Undefined Elevation". Business Center van turn off objects with 0 or ? (Undefined) Elevation through use of the small section at the base of your View Filter Manager - Select the Tab that says " Display Options" and then you can elect to Not Display in Plan or in 3D objects with zero elevation (0 or ?) or display them in an alternative color etc.

I have seen a couple of strange things with imported data where the Layer doesnt get set correctly and things display incorrectly. Try changing the layer of the Lines and then change them back - does that change the display - if not send me the DXF file you are using and I will take a look - I tested it just now and it works for me with a quick test - so it could be data related.
