Looking at your file I dont think you are using the right command - this is what I am seeing
1) You have an Existing Centerline Alignment but it doesn't have a profile - it is a HAL only
2) You have the Park Avenue Center Line Alignment which has a HAL and a VAL
3) You have 2x Corridors - both use Templates - one is based off the Face of Curb alignment and one off the Park Ave Centerline (I assume that is the Proposed Centerline
I don't see the Vertical data for the Existing Centerline in the Existing alignment or in an Original Ground Surface - there is a Linestring along the centerline called Ex-Line-Road Line Work and that also has two edge of pave lines on the same layer
1) So I created a surface from the Existing Surface Lines called Existing Road
2) I select the HAL called Park Ave Centerline and from Corridor Menu use the Create Surface Profile command to cut a Profile through the Existing Road Surface along the Park Ave Center Line. This creates a second profile in the Profile View for the Park Ave Center Line alignment. You can now open the profile view and see the two Alignments - the Main Alignment (Red) and the Existing Road Surface (Grey). These will show up in the Plan Profile Sheets or a Profile Sheet Plot also if you want to print. You have to exaggerate the vertical quite a bit before you can see the differences - at 10x it is quite clear.
The Copy to Profile View command is more to copy CAD Profiles drawn in the Plan View into the Profile View of an Alignment. It is not the command to use in this case.
