Properties -Right click on layer to bring up Layer Manager and active layer

It is great that we can quickly create a new layer by hitting the space bar. I think there would be a lot of value in the ability to open the layer manager and have the active layer focused in the layer manager. This would help with renaming layers and minor tweaks that don't justify starting from scratch.

I did find a work around, if you have the layer selected and open the layer manager it will do this. You would need to have a shortcut setup for layer manager. I am trying out F2 as a shortcut for the Layer manager. I still think a right click option would be helpful.

    Thoughts?

If you select a Layer in the VFM and right click and select Layer Manager it opens Layer Manager with that Layer Highlighted. If you double click an Unprotected Layer in the VFM it allows you to edit the Layer Name right there without opening the Layer Manager. I have a request in the system to be able to select Layers in the VFM and then right click and open Layer Manager and have all the layers that were highlighted so I can change the Layer Group to which they belong quickly.

There is I believe some work going on in Layer Manager currently

I use CTRL SHIFT L for Layer Manager in my Ribbon Menu

I did not know this trick with the double click on an unprotected layer, that is very useful.

This trick unfortunately doesn't work if you have a layer isolated. It would be helpful if you could use the double click trick while using the isolate layer command.
