In the Advanced View Filter Settings there needs to be a way to select multiple layers and choose whether to turn on or off the visibility or selectability. This is a great option but can be very slow to implement.

Hold down control and select in the visibility or selectable column.  Hold down shift to pick a range.  When you have them selected tap the space bar to toggle them on or off.  Most tables like this work the same way.

Right click will also provide options to toggle on and off visibility for all the layers in the section.

That is what I thought but please see the video. Maybe its a bug. Running 5.1.1. 

Selecting visible works, like you mention, with the traditional shift and click or control and click but selectable does not. 

They don't both work at the same time.  Hold down ctrl then click in the selectable area like the image above, not the layer name.  With multiple lines selected, don't hold ctrl down, just press the space bar.  Works fine for me in 5.10.1
