There appears to be no way of rotating a scale bar.

I have tried:

• Properties of the scale bar
• The rotate command

I have run into a few situations where having a vertical scale bar would be more fitting for readability or for fitting on a page.

Never tried this but try defining a Vertical Scale Bar if that is what you need - I would imagine that a Horizontal Scale Bar drawn vertically is likely not what you really want

The scale Bar is a Block and you can just place a Block to do this and then you can rotate it as you see fit (I would likely do that rather than use the Scalebar function)

I think I would want to keep it within the scale bar function because you can tie it to a dynaview and the scale bar would then update according. Otherwise you would need to have multiple blocks for different scales. 

Is there a way to create a block for the scale bar that you can use within the scale bar function? I poked around quickly and did not see one.
