Could we have the trim and edit tool default to one line to bounding line and trim/extend shortest distance? 

Small #enhancementrequest but I find that the tool defaults to trim and most of the time I want to extend. I think the trim/extend option would be a good compromise and fit most people's needs.

This is probably one of those commands where we should just remember the last used values and not reset to defaults every time you run the command - I don't think picking one method and saying that is right over another is the right way to go here - but if you remember last used settings then you would effectively get what you want here if you always Extend and rarely Trim.

Alan: I agree with you. In fact, I would prefer to see ALL menus/commands be persistent and not reset to a to default.

I just checked this command and in one running of TBC t does remember the last used settings, it is just the first running where it resets to the defaults and forces you to change it to what you want.

The challenge with selecting any one setting as the start point is that depending on what you are doing right now dictates the correct start setting for the command and that does change unfortunately so no matter what we pick it will always be wrong for someone
