Create Points from Spot Elevations does not let you use letters in the point number. I would like this ability so that I can put a prefix and make sure my spot elevations do not interfere with survey data. #enhancementrequest
I ended up exporting, adding these in excel and re-importing.

Doesnt the Layer do that for you?
You can use rename Points to do that with all points on the Layer that you used if needed.

I did not know about the rename Points command. That is super helpful and thanks for pointing that out.
The layer does do that but it is more to double up to make sure these do not get mixed in with good survey data. Particularity survey control.
I think it's still a good enhancement request - instead of "Starting point number" it could be "Starting point ID" - that seems very natural for a command that creates points.
