Create Side Slope - Copy or offset strings and independent entities

It looks like you cannot copy or offset linestrings of a side slope and have these be independent entities. There are many cases where I need to take strings from a side slope and clean these up. As far as I know, there is not way to explode or extract strings from a side slope ( except create linestring and append). Am I missing something? If not, please consider adding the option to copy, offset a string from a side slope and not have this new line tied to the side slope or extract 1 string or multiple strings from a side slope.

You can Explode the Sideslope Object - that can be found at the same location as the Template insert point. Select it then explode it and it will detach the linework from the Sidelsope computations. The Sideslope still exists afterwards and if you no longer need it you can delete the Sideslope and Template Objects leaving the linework behind.

I must have been grabbing the template and not the side slope. Thank you.

I think there is still value in "extracting" one line by either a copy or offset because when you explode you get all of the lines. There are many cases where you may need just one line from a template such as a slope tie line.
