Utilities - Create Utility Line from Linestring - Creates a line on layer 0

    I just noticed that when you use the create utility line from linestring command, it creates a duplicate line on layer 0.

     

    Why? It doesn't appear to be tied to the utility run except with the selection set. Does this have value? Maybe a future use?

    Can we have an option not to so we don't get extra unused lines on layer 0, preventing a dumping ground?

    I have noticed that aswell, yes what is the value of the copy on layer 0?
