Create Underground Utility line from Surface Survey

Is there a way to easily generate an underground utility line using the surface survey points plus a depth measurement attribute (i.e copy the utility survey points and adjust the elevation by the depth attribute stored for that point, then process feature codes to create line in its true form)?

Since we have the surface details and depth of the utility, we can create a

CSV file with Surface Coordinates (N-E) and Z as Surface Elevation - Depth

of utility. Now you have a NEZ file. This can be imported as a Linestring

with a name of your choice.

I hope this answers your question.

    Regards.

Thank you for your response Saif Bin Darwish.  Is there a way to do it while preserving the attributes (not just the code)?  The export function allows for a wide range of data outputs, yet the importer only allows for the code plus 2 description fields.  I was kind of hoping that there was a way to modify the elevation of a selection of points using the CAD - Change Elevation tool, then being able to select an attribute from the point for the Delta.

If you are looking for a large number of attributes, you should explore the

    GIS module and the Schema.
