Works Manager File Steal

I'm posting this in a couple of places as the WM site doesn't have a questions tab. TCC is not functioning properly.

Grant, i don't see a place to ask a question on the site. I have an issue with my Earthworks machine and tcc sync. The design and coordinate system were removed from the machine some time today without a manual sync. I deleted the site from WM/TCC and republished to the Project Library and still can't sync the project.

    Please advise.@GRANT Higgins @Alan Sharp

    Tom

I think I need more detail than this - my understanding of the post here is as follows

    1. You have a WM Project, which has a Site Cal and a Design
    2. You have that assigned to a machine or machines on site and they were working fine till today
    3. Something happened that you and no-one else had any involvement with that triggered the Design and the site calibration for the project to be removed from the machines, and no-one on the machine or on site did anything either - it just disappeared

Can you tell me - in Works Manager what is still there - the project, the Design, the Site Cal?

Can you tell me in TCC what is still there - the project, the design, the site cal

In TCC what permissions groups are setup - and what permissions groups does the machine or machines in question belong to

Grant could better answer on issues that they have seen or are seeing in WM as I have no visibility into that, and if the WM did any maintenance on the system that could have triggered an event like this. I can maybe get you back up and running, but that will take a little time I guess - but later today after lunch you can call me and we can take a look together - but this is not really part of my work with Trimble which is mainly on the TBC side of things.

Alan, 1,2 and 3 are correct. The project was still there with cal and design. TCC had the project and fielddata folder but office data folder was missing. The machine is set to ALL permissions.

I ended up deleting the project from WM/TCC and posted to Project Library. When the machine would sync to TCC the  Office Data folder was deleted on TCC and EW. This happened twice....so i gave up and ate lunch. While eating I had an idea to rename the Project. Changed the name threw back up in the Project Library and the file sync was completed. Staying away from EW for a while.

    Thanks for following up!!

    Tom,

By any chance, was the design 'archived' within WorksManager at all?

If you have'nt already, please put in a support ticket into construction_support@trimble.com outlining this issue. The support team will be able to diagnose your issue pretty quickly.

The design was not archived. Can you add a Question area for Works Manager Forum. I would be more apt to stick with the product if help was easier to find and the TBC Forum wouldn't have to see these posts.

Alan has plenty to do without WM

    Thanks, Tom
