With GCS900 and Siteworks / SCS900 there are two Syncing processes going on all the time
1) From TBC to TCC
2) From TCC to the Machines
The way the Sync was designed to work is that if you remove the design in TBC then it would then get removed from TCC and then as a result of that it would get removed from the machines. This is for sure the way that it worked with GCS900.
Now that all machines on the project running Earthworks have to have all the designs loaded (i.e. there are no longer specific designs only applied to specific machines) then if you remove a Design for one it means that you remove it for all.
1) If you delete a Design in TBC it will affect GCS900 machines and SCS900 / Siteworks devices but not Earthworks Devices - there is no "Sync Removal of Designs" from within TBC as you have found with respect to Earthworks Devices.
2) You can go into TCC and delete a Design - however based on a discussion with Product Management on the Machine side this has no affect on an Earthworks Machine
3) Doing what you are doing through the Earthworks Web UI or have the operators delete the design directly on the control box is I know the last resort but works as you have found out, this does however mean that you have to delete the data from each machine individually using the Web UI.
So based on what I am being told, the only ways to delete Designs from an Earthworks Machine are (3) above. I am told that the "Works Manager" Web Application plans to resolve this with the machine teams. This is a shortfall of the Earthworks Platform at this time, and it needs to be resolved on the machine platform in order for TBC / TCC / Works Manager to provide the control functions that we already have in place for SCS900, Siteworks and GCS900 / Accugrade, DPS900 / Groundworks products. The plumbing is all there to do this when the machines are ready to go.
