Having some issues getting a Master Alignment added to an Earthworks design through BC-HCE.

Was sent some data from a customer - a XML containing an alignment, and a XML containing a road surface.

Exporting as a Road Surface, the alignment is not selectable in Horizontal Guidance in Earthworks.

I then did a test, just creating 3 lines to make a road surface, and a simple CL and doing the same export. This time it worked (attached EW-data Stationeringstest.rar - unfortunately didnt save the VCE) and Master Alignment is selectable.

Now I'm trying to replicate it, but simply cant get it to work. I've attached a VCE (ownData.vce) where I did same as above, but not Master Alignment.

I cannot import the exported data that is working. Is there some special trick to get this to work that I did accidentally? Should be fairly simple?

Adding the alignment as part of the design map isnt a solution, as it begins in stationing +100

The Design needs to be a Road Surface Model. If TBC allows you to select the HAL and the Surface to create this model, then we have the SVD / SVL or DSZ file created for the machine. If the HAL plus Linework plus Surface shows up in Earthworks then it got that far right. If the HAL is not selectable for Horizontal Guidance then that sounds like an Earthworks problem provided the HAL has made it that far. 

I apologize but I don't have an Earthworks Simulator that I can test this on personally, and I don't think you have shared the data causing you the problem either, so I don't think I can assist any further without those.

You first create the Site and Design for a GCS900 Machine and then you can create a data set for Earthworks using the publish to Library command.

If it is an issue with TBC creating the DSZ file let me know, failing that please connect with the Machine Control team or Trimble support for further help here

I've been through Trimble Support, and there was no clear solution. There was no clear solution, but they basically concluded the issue was the data - not EW.

I'm sure about the workflow in TBC, but seems sometimes it doesn't work in Earthworks, or I'm missing something - could you check the data sets and confirm they are correct from a TBC-perspective? If so, I'll need to take it up with the EW-team.

Project/MasterAlignment (folder) - the export to EW from MasterAlignment.vce - this design WILL allow me to select a MasterAlignment in EW.

To be both data sets seems to be setup identical - so don't understand why there is a difference in the selection of a MasterAlignment in EW?
