Background Maps

    I want to view a background map in the DigitalGlobe Image but, there is only Trimble Mapview to select.  Why is DigitalGlobe Image not available? How can I activate it, or is it available in certain countries and not all over the world?

    Hi Terison,

    I've been meaning to do a Tip of the Week on this.

    Right click on the project in the project explorer, select properties.

    Under Background Map, Type, you can select either Trimble Mapview or DigitalGlobe Imagery.

    Hi Matt, Thanks but, on the type, only Trimble Mapview is selectable and nothing else appears. See image below.

    In transition from v4.10 to v5.0, the basemap functionality was moved from the GIS module to Survey Intermediate.

    Replying here for others that might have this issue. 

     

    Running the Trimble Office Cleanup Utility followed by a fresh install of TBC solved this. You can get the Cleanup Utility by contacting your local distribution partner, and if they don't have it they can get it from Trimble Support. It should be a painless process.

     

    The cleanup utility removes all temporary files associated with TBC, and all old install files of TBC from your computer. This solves many issues which cannot be fixed with a normal reinstall.
