corridor template editor current chainage as moving Xline in plan view?

    Hi,

when editing a corridor template, is there a way to see the current chainage as line in plan view? If you want to show and discuss something with somebody you can't see where you actually slice through right now.

I'd like to see the pink line moving forth and back while dragging the chainage slider. And the green circle when moving the mouse around in the cross section view. I've seen it in other software, so it shouldn't be witch craft.

And similar in the surface slicer view. After creating the slice, I'd like to see a line moving forth and back in the Slicer View when moving the mouse about in the plan view or in the slicer view.

I agree 100% with you on this, it has been asked for in the past and I have asked again this week as a result of your post. We already do this from the Profile View with Plan View, and we partly do it with the Template view - if you click in the Station Box in the template editor, and then move the cursor into the plan view, the rubber band cursor attaches to the alignment and you can click anywhere to indicate a station you want to look at, and then once clicked in the template editor as you move the cursor left and right of the alignment you can see the cursor in the template moving left to right - the issue however is that we don't clearly mark the station we are looking at in the plan view so it is sometimes a little hard to correlate the station with the true location. An indication on this would be helpfiul for sure.
