Why is renaming a CutFill map triggering a full rebuild?

  • 1.  Why is renaming a CutFill map triggering a full rebuild?

This is getting really annoying with large surfaces. After running an Earthworks report and if you want to keep the Isopach for later you have to rename it. That's all good.

But why is this plain name change triggering a full rebuild of the CutFill map. Another 5 minutes just to change a name? Or put another way, spend double the time than actually necessary.

    Please fix that!

I have raised this with development relating to various things that trigger a rebuild. The response I have been given so far is that the Change Manager that looks for changes in a surface model that triggers a rebuild is currently insufficiently selective as to what causes a need for a surface rebuild. Lines changing color or layer or renaming objects or renaming a cut fill map can all trigger a rebuild. The Development team are aware of the issue.
