Node numbers in corridor templates

When adding reference lines to a corridor, is there a way to control which node number gets assigned to each reference line?   I am working on a highway project with very many crossovers, all of which have the same typical that I could easily copy from one corridor to the next, but the reference line nodes receive different numbers on each corridor which makes the instructions in the template all screwed up to the point where its just easier to start from blank.

I would have thought that if you create the. Corridor and in that process you select the same ref lines in the same order before creating any instructions they would get the same node numbers - i will check - if you select them after creating some instructions probably cannot rename anything then as that could totally snarl things up.

    Will look at this tomorrow

This is a sidebar comment but what about having a character for reference lines as well? So instead of 2,3,4 they would be r2,r3, r4. Also keep them before the alignment, node 1. Leave the integers for the nodes that you create in the template and this would also help to distinguish the difference in the template viewer.

Yes I like that.  and maybe in the Edit Corridor command, inside the select reference lines sub-command, there could be a separate section to select which line gets assigned which node number/letter.

Something similar to the line manager in the vertical design wouldn't be bad. This would list the lines that you have added as reference lines and allow you to manage the codes.

So I did a quick test this morning, I created 3 corridors from the same HAL VAL (Always Node 1) and added the same 4 reference lines to each corridor and selected them in the same order (left to right) for each corridor and they always became nodes 2,3,4,5 in the same sequence.

I also created a corridor and then selected them Right to left and the Right most line became 2 and then 345 as expected.

The Reference lines are added sequentially based on the order in which you select them, starting at the next available node number.

So it seems that if you do this at the start that this will work today. If you have already added a Node 2 or 3 and then add ref lines they will take the next available number in the sequence.

Wow I would have never guessed that picking them one by one without selecting apply in between each one would effect the numbering, but you are 100% correct.  Thank you once again Alan!
