Utility Detail Report on Pipes and Structures

  • 1.  Utility Detail Report on Pipes and Structures

Recently built a few Utility Storm and Sanitary lines using the Utility commands.

When finished i tried to get a report that would list the pipes and structure.  There did not seem to be a viable report.

i expected a report that would list each pipe, length, invert in, invert out, slope, type of pipe and size

i expected a report for each structure, top EL, Bottom El, size.

Very similar to the charts seen in plans.

this would be used for QC compared back to the plans.

I was unable to find anything that would report the details, it is all there when you do a properties.

    So what am i missing.

Utility Takeoff Report reports some of these things Ron but as you point not all. The Utility module was initially developed for Takeoff purposes and the Engineering part is still to be done

    Ron

Following up here now that I have access to my PC

    1) In the Node Takeoff report we list all Manholes / Node Objects and each has the Rim and Invert Elevation as well as the Design Height and the volume that it displaces from the trench quantities. It lists it along with the Name of the Site Improvement and the Type of Site Improvement as well as the Node Name and to which Utility Runs it is applied (and at what station).

    2) In the Line Summary tab we list the type of Site Improvement (Pipe) and its Horizontal and Slope Length from Node to Node (Manhole Center to Center) or End to End (Cut back length in Manholes).

You are right that we don't list all of the Pipe Segments, their individual lengths, Slopes and the Invert In and Out values for each pipe - that would for sure be helpful addition to the report of pipes. As I said in the earlier post, this tool was developed for Takeoff rather than Data Prep / Engineering so we did not do full reporting like this - however I do agree that this would be a good summary tab to provide also for all pipes in the selected network. We do report the name and the name provides the Site Improvement Category, Material and Size if you name things appropriately as shown above.

I have logged in the request to provide this in the future.
