Was won dering if anyone has run in to this issue. Connecting points by coordinates. When this is done it wants to connect to points behind after connecting the ones that are picked. I will include a screen shot of what I am seeing.

    So you are picking points graphically and asking it to connect them right? Are they in numerical order? or are you expecting to connect the dots in the order that they were selected?

     

    Can you give me a bit more information here or some data or a video to see what you are doing specifically so I can try to recreate the problem you are asking about. 

     

    I typically join by Point Number e.g. CP001 - CP123 etc. and that always seems to work well for me, I cannot say that I join random selected points together - so cannot respond directly on that.

    Looks like when you select points randomly, that it sorts the Point Numbers of the selected points into a logical order and then joins them with a single continuous line - this is what I would have expected. It doesn't appear to use the order in which you selected the points - to do that I think you would have to use the Create Linestring command to get the line that you want
