Points - Station/Offset Label

Can you quickly add a Station/Offset label to a point description and it dynamically link to the point so that if the point or alignment is moved then the Station/Offset updates?

Smart Text will allow this but there is currently no way to add that to the description field that I am aware of. The Smart Text will update dynamically.

This is a request that Point Labels allow the use of a reference Alignment so that we can get Station and Offset and that they can select a Surface so that we can get Delta Z or Cut / Fill to the surface at each point. This has been implemented and is in Testing. Currently the Point Label Styles do not support this feature but I hope to see that at some point in the not too distant future

Just got a question about this during a training - I found the "Station" option in the label settings - but couldn't figure out how to match it to a specific line?

Has it been fully released, or still testing?

    This is released however

    1) The Reference line has to be a HAL

    2) A single Point Label Style can only reference one alignment. If you are labeling points to different alignments, each different alignment will require a copy of the Point Label Style that references the different alignment. You can change the alignment in a Point Label Style but that will re reference all points labeled with that style to the new alignment which is not likely to be what you wanted. Create a new Point Label Style, using the original as a reference and then use the new alignment and or surface in the new point label style.

    3) (2) also applies to the reference surface. Each Style can only reference one surface. If you want to reference a different surface on some points then they will need a new Point Label Style.

    4) You need to reference the Point Label Style first and then use Label Points to Label selected points with the Style. Once labeled the poin labels reference the Label Style Selected. If that Style is updated with a new Alignment, A New Surface or changes to the way the label is defined, those changes will affect all previously labeled points with that Label Style as well as all future points that are labeled.

Ah, makes sense then. Unfortunately not exactly what I was after. But appreciate the reply, will have a go at it.
