all i want to do is place points at certain stations and offsets of an alignment. yes, i can do it in a round about by placing a point along the line at a certain offset distance but i want to be able to key in the actual station and offset to set my points. can someone show me how to do that please? This is in Trimble Business Center. Thanks!

Go to CAD Tab (you should have this module).

    Click on " Create Point".

A window opens with several options. Choose "Offset Line".

    "Offset Line" dialog window opens.

    Rest is self-explanatory.

Thank you. next, how do I get station-offsets referencing  a centerline for points that are graphically already on the screen?

Select the points you want the report for.

Go to "Reports" in the Quick Access Toolbar.

    Click on "More Reports"

Scroll to "Station Offset elevation Report". Select (Highlighted). Click OK.

    Dialogue window opens.

    Make your selections.

Make sure you scroll down to complete all options as desired.

Get a report in a format of your choice - Excel / CSV / Display.

You can print / export the display to your choice file format (Excel / PDF / Word) also.
