Hi Ronny,
I'm not sure I would use the term "lazy". I suspect the team was given fairly basic goals for this release - v5.51 was basically a bug patch. Perhaps they'll have more options in the next major release...
I'm just glad:
a) It's an official feature
So the team has tested/fixed/enhanced the underlying architecture already - and if there are any leftover bugs, they are more likely to fix them.
b) They provided the built-in mouse controls
TMLs can't replicate this without a TML running.
c) The rotation is available via an API
This allows the community to do whatever it wants with rotation - as we've seen so far, there are a myriad of ways to define and make use of rotation...

Yes, finally we have it.
But why can't they go this tiny, tiny, tiny extra step to make it more user friendly? Save different states, aligning to objects. For the developers that's a piece of cake, look at Rockpile, they could do it in no time.
Even I as rookie macro writer was able to figure it out within a few hours. So, why, why, why being so lazy.

Great job! to the developers on the added feature. It's been a long time coming but KUDOs all around nonetheless.
