Dimension Cutting Plane View

Does anyone have an idea on how I can dimension a "Cutting Plane View" from a scan of a traffic signal? The client needs sizes and lengths of all objects for structural analysis. Intended output would be a pdf of the elevation view.

    Project can be downloaded here:

Dropbox - Outgoing - Simplify your life

Caution, its 655 MB of data from SX10

    Thanks in advance, Tommy

    Have I stumped everyone?

I used the capture image to create the bottom image. Not the most ideal but may work in a pinch. You could then use Bluebeam to put together your normal template and the image. Or reimport the image into plane view and then use plan sets.

    Process:

    • Activate desired Plane View
    • Zoom to data
    • Capture Image

    * I would probably keep a couple points with know distance on the screen for scaling.

Thank you Patrick. That works good enough for me.

I did not realize you could Image Capture without a plotbox. And the Cutting Plane View does not allow you to draw a plotbox.
