How to edit a linestring elevation from a surface

While creating curb layout for survey crew I am trying to elevate or edit a polyline into a linestring by using the elevation of the surface particularly the edge of pavement at face of curb. I remember when I used Terramodel we would convert a polyline to a set and elevate the points and set from DTM points. Is there a way to do this with a linestring as well so I do not have to edit each high and low point on a curb linestring?

the change elevation command allows you to drape a line onto a surface.  This creates a node in the line at every triangle crossing.  When version 5.20 is released there will be an option to only elevate the verticies of the line.

Linestrings can also be defined by point objects much line a Terramodel set line.  When you do this then the line moves with the point objects.  You can then elevate the points to the surface and the line follows.

Thanks Tim. I used change elevation command and worked fine.
