How can we pull data from Trimble devices in Windows 10? Using Windows Mobile Device Center will not work in Windows 10. Please advise.

See this link: Windows Mobile Device Center won't run on latest Windows 10 OS

Alternatively a USB drive should work perfectly.

Just a FYI you can still configure Win 10 to run WMDC easily https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/931937/description-of-windows-mobile-device-center

I will just add another method .....

Download and Install .Net Framework 3.5

    • Go to control panel
    • Select Program and Features
    • Select Turn Windows features on or off
    • Add .NET Framework 3.5 and Click OK
    • Click Let Windows Update download the files for you
    • Select Restart Now

    Install Windows Mobile Device Center

    • Go into Apps to find Windows Mobile Device Center
    • When you open the app it will open for a few minutes and then will disappear.

    To fix the Problem:

    • Go to search bar and type command prompt
    • Right click and run as administrator
    • Give commands as follows: REG ADD HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\RapiMgr /v SvcHostSplitDisable /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
    • Hit the Enter key, Screen will let you know when operation has been completed successfully
    • Give the next command: REG ADD HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WcesComm /v SvcHostSplitDisable /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
    • Hit the Enter key, Screen will let you know when operation has been completed successfully
    • Close command prompt box
    • Go to search box and type in “services”
    • Open services manager
    • Open Windows Mobile 2003 based device connectivity
    • Go to Properties, make sure service is not running
    • Click on Log On tab
    • Click Local System account and click apply than ok
    • Open Windows Mobile based device connectivity
    • Go to Properties, make sure service is not running
    • Click on Log on tab
    • Click Local System account and click apply than ok
    • Right click on each service and click start
    • When both are started you can close the box
